Infrequencies: A WNRN Podcast

This is Infrequencies, a WNRN podcast. Why Infrequencies? Because WNRN broadcasts on multiple frequencies through central Virginia on FM, AM, HD and of course, streaming on the web, which is where you found this slice of the station.

Infrequencies will probably be slightly “infrequent” – not so much weekly or monthly, but it will appear when we have a lot going on. And with our 25th anniversary underway, we have A LOT going on.

Hosted by Mark Keefe, General Manager and Program Director of WNRN, Infrequencies is too much talk for the radio but just enough for a podcast.

Late last year, WNRN became a member station of VuHaus, a group of public radio music stations that produce video content in partnership with NPR Music. In addition to WNRN creating sessions with artists like Japanese Breakfast and Shakey Graves in the last few months, we were asked to participate in the “Slingshot City Scenes” series, an in-depth look at our corner of the world and the people making music happen.

For our first episode of Infrequencies, Mark checks in with WNRN’s Managing Producer, Desiré Moses, for a deeper dive into the three pieces she produced for NPR Music’s Slingshot City Scenes.
